Abstract :
A novel reflectarray with two double-layer dipole arrays is presented. With a linearly-polarized feeder, the proposed reflectarray transforms the linearly-polarized incident wave into circularly-polarized one. A 20 × 20 element reflectarray operating at 24 GHz is designed and the simulated results show that a 1-dB gain bandwidth of 8.14% and a 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth of 6.13% can be achieved, with a peak gain of 26.8 dBi. The proposed reflectarray can be applied to applications with single, dual and circular polarizations.
