Abstract
This paper proposes a dual shorted microstrip patch antenna for on-body systems. This antenna has the length of one-eighth wavelength and is designed by stacking two shorted patches. Besides, the characteristics of this antenna is almost independent of the phantom and surrounding environment. This antenna operates at 2.5 GHz band and its size is 26 mm × 10 mm. As a result of measurement, the radiation efficiency is 18.8% and the bandwidth is about 20 MHz.
