Abstract
This paper proposes a Dynamic voltage restorer with modified repetitive controller for limiting the fault current in a distribution line. The system also compensates key voltage-quality disturbances namely, voltage sags, harmonic voltages, voltage imbalances. The control structure is quite simple and yet very robust. Load voltage is continuously monitored for detection of any downstream fault and when detected, the mode of operation of DVR is changed to limit the fault current. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to carry out all modeling aspects of repetitive controller and test system.
