Abstract :
Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is complex wireless communication networks on which mobile nodes or vehicles are placed at different mobile position communicate with each other for exchanging information through wireless network. As the nodes are not fixed and randomly distributed, hence to establish connection, we used wireless channel. To have effective connection between nodes, ad-hoc on demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) routing protocol is used and to provide different alternate path from source to destination. In our proposed work AOMDV routing protocol evaluated into two different traffic pattern: Constant Bit Rate (CBR) & Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) using Network Simulator (NS2). As rush of vehicles on the road is varying according to peak hours in a day and depending on average traffic time, the utility of VANET especially in the plane of high mobility network is maximized. The multipath routing protocol is proposed to transmit a data efficiently among the participating nodes that ensures the data transmission over the alternate path when the dedicated active link fails. In our work we are going to design network which provide alternate path in emergency rescue application. The major parameters under consideration for our network are Packet Deliver Ratio (PDR), Packet Loss Ratio (PLR), Average Delay and Throughput.
