Abstract :
This paper aimed to present the comparison of the reference citation for the inventive engineering and sciences journal (volume 2, issue 6 & 7). This aim is achieved by analyzing errors that affect researchers in terms of citations or references. The main outcome of this study was to identify the errors from the volume 2 issue 6 & 7 (all the articles were taken for the analysis). The results indicated that from the 5 articles a total of 208 errors. Among them journal name missing 1, volume number missing 15, issue number missing 12, page number missing 12, article name missing 3, publisher name missing 1, wrong volume number 2, wrong issue number 2, wrong page number 6, wrong year 1, extra word or script putting 5, consistency error 32, information missing 12, authors initials not given 12, missing authors name 5, article could not retrieve 8, website link given but access date not given 2, positions of the authors have changes 2, year repetition 1, author name wrong 5, journal name wrong 5, volume repetition 1, issue repetition 1, page number repetition 1, and punctuation errors 73. However, this study identified a considerable error rate in the references and in the citations of the inventive engineering and sciences journals and suggested that the improving accuracy of the references and citations are important.
