  • Abstract
A new very high efficiency chopper based on partial power converter concept with 2 batteries, targeting over 99.3% in total system efficiency, was proposed. SiC-MOSFET module was applied due to fabrication of a 10 kW principle verification chopper with high frequency of 60 kHz. Circuitry operational test, efficiency measurement, rating test and temperature rise test have been completed. New advanced topology retains highest of 99.58 %, over 99.3 % over whole practical area from 1 kW to 10 kW, and over 99.0 % whole area from 1 kW to 20 kW in efficiency of high efficient energy conversion system under the frequency of 60 kHz.
