Abstract :
Focusing on the design of PI parameters in the controllers of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator Wind Generation System (PMSG-WGS), numerous achievements have been obtained. But the designed parameters in most cases may be just suitable for specific systems. Therefore, the heavy burden on redesigning and retuning PI parameters of the controller cannot be avoided when the system specifications change, such as rated power, rated voltage or rated current scales. To address the issue above, a general method to design the PI parameters for the universal controllers of different power scale PMSG-WGS is proposed in this paper based on per-unit system and similarity principle. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results in MATLAB/Simulink for different scale of PMSG-WGS.
