Abstract
This paper presents an unidirectional single-phase to three-phase AC-DC-AC converter. The single-phase converter is composed of two parallel single-phase rectifiers with an uncontrolled shared-leg. Suitable modelling, including the circulation current, and control strategy are developed. A comparison between sinusoidal PWM (with and without interleaved technique) and the 1-D (unidimensional) control region is performed. The proposed topology permits to improve the harmonic distortion and power losses in the converter compared to the conventional one. Finally, the simulation and the experimental results are presented.
