  • Abstract
    Energy storage systems have shown to be a key enabling technology in many actual and future applications. Batteries are present in many electronic devices we use everyday as mobile phones or laptops. The development of these energy storage systems are also the key factor for the future boost in electric vehicle market. Energy storage systems are also essential components in power systems in order to balance the generation and the consumption (Peak Shaving, Load Levelling and Load Shifting) and to reduce the uncertainty introduced by the non-controllable energy sources within the power systems (Dispatch of the renewable energy).
