Abstract :
This paper is dealing with a new research and development platform for the development of Factory of the Future Production System, referred to as ZIMS (Zilina Intelligent Manufacturing System). ZIMS is a new, open and collaborative environment, supporting creativity, inventing new solutions and their practical implementation in the form of new innovative products. ZIMS is based on holonic based, what brings many opportunities to develop new intelligent solutions for industry.
