Research on Safe Distance of Route off Dangers Based on MATLAB

On the basis of a lot of simulator´s tests and research reports of real ships, we analyze and conclude many conditions of five important factors qualitatively which determine the safe distance off dangers. Then state all the conditions quantificationally. On the question of so many combining forms of all the conditions, operation software of safe distance of route off dangers is developed by using MATLAB language. This operation software facilitates route planning before sailing and route improving during sailing by ship´s officer.
