Abstract :
Active distribution network (ADN) has great compatibility for the interconnected of distributed energy resources (DERs), especially renewable ones, with the help of active management and Coordination Control. This paper focuses on the quantified indexes of DERs interconnected to ADN and the Multi-layer Coordination Control to handle with the energy consumption of intermittent energy resources in ADN. Solutions on intermittent energy consumption under various operation scenarios of ADN with different DERs placement configurations are illustrated in details respectively. The demonstration application simulation of intermittent energy consumption in ADN in China sponsored by the National Hightech R&D Program is presented which validates the effectiveness of the proposed solutions for intermittent energy consumption in ADN.
