Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method for estimating the harmonic contributions of the harmonic sources in condition of the harmonic fluctuations. This method is a combination of the dominant fluctuation filtering method which aims at estimating the background harmonic impedance and the quantile regression method which is used to assess the harmonic contributions. Traditionally, harmonic contributions studies are on the condition of constant background harmonic, which is not adequate for the practical time-varying system. The main idea of the proposed method is that it takes enough consideration and utilization for the fluctuation of background harmonic. The simulation test in IEEE 13-bus system demonstrates the accurate and robust performance of the proposed method in condition of the background harmonic fluctuations, compared to the current methods used in constant background harmonic.
