Abstract :
Engineering laboratories are key elements in the engineering learning and essential for concrete understanding of engineering topics and experiments. In this work, an educational control laboratory platform has been developed to experimentally introduce the engineering students to the PID and Fuzzy logic based control approaches. Here and with the help of the HMI (human machine interface) the students can see the real time response of the controlled system under the various setting of the used controller. For PID based controller, the system response can be experimented for various values of proportional gain (Kp), integral gain (Ki), and sampling rate. For fuzzy based one, the system response can be experimented for different setting of weight matrix, width of membership functions, sampling rate, and proportional and integral gains of the PID like fuzzy controller.
