Abstract :
A comparison is carried out among indoor localization algorithms using received signal strength, namely the vector algorithm, and the Modified Comparative Received Signal Strength (MCRSS) algorithm. The study considered comparisons on the performance of the proposed algorithms. The experiments were carried out in a simulated environment for 3rd floor of Chesham Building, University of Bradford using ray tracing software and MATLAB. Results justify a preference for use of the MCRSS algorithm.
