Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to develop a visual scaffolding for motivating learners participate online learning actively. Two types of visual scaffolding were developed and the visual scaffolding is represented individual participation, group participation, and the interaction among groups. In order to investigate the effects of the visual scaffolding on online participation, the quasi-experimental study was conducted with 39 undergraduate students. The results showed that the visual scaffolding enhanced learner´s online participation.
