    One may ask why countries need engineering education. It is hard to argue that scientific leadership brings a competitive economic advantage and prosperity, and those cannot be attained without proper education. Sergey Belousov, a trustee of Innopolis University and the founder of Acronis Company, says we have to look at the technology cycle to see that it all begins with science and education [1].
