  • Abstract
    This paper investigates the distribution of scatteres i.e trees and its effect during the rain event in the outdoor urban scenario. The 2D elliptical geometry based single bounce model is considered for microcell environment in which the multipath reflection is accounted by the presence of trees that are uniformly distributed within the elliptical region. Analytical expressions for the joint Angle of Arrival (AoA)/Time of Arrival (ToA) probability density functions (pdf) and marginal AoA and ToA (pdfs) have been derived for the proposed model. We found that the pdf of ToA at the Mobile station is directly affected by the different rain event. The derived formulas can be used further for evaluating the spatio-temporal characteristics of the mobile channel.
