Abstract :
As vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is a typical wireless mobile communication network and data packet routing in between various nodes is difficult task in an open network. As the various nodes are mobile and it located different places and to have communication in between nodes we used wireless channel. To have effective connection between nodes we used ad-hoc on demand multipath distance vector routing protocol (AOMDV). The evaluation of AOMDV routing protocol into two different traffic pattern Constant Bit Rate (CBR) & transmission Control Protocol (TCP) using Network Simulator 2 (NS2). As demand is increases in an open network communication then we must have to maximize the utility of VANETs (Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks) especially in the plane of high mobility network. The effective routing protocol is required for reliable communication to be established between sources to destination node in a network. In our work we are going to design network to avoid traffic jam on difference populated network as time changes in a day and to effectively provide alternate path in emergency services like Ambulance, Fire Brigade, Police vehicle, etc. and we are going to observe various parameters like PLR, PDR, Throughput, Normalized routing load, etc. for different density network.
