Abstract :
The paper reports the feature extraction from myoelectric signal of normal person and paralyzed patient for Electromyogram triggered stimulator. Analyzing accurate and optimum features from acquiesced Myoelectric Signal (from paralyzed patient´s lower limb) is very useful to detect the lower limb movements like knee movements. The paper also describes the temporal approach in time domain to extract features from myoelectric signal. It is reported that, when paralyzed patient thinks or tries to do the knee movement the triggered Electromyogram level is generated by mental practice. Further, self-generated triggered Electromyogram level will be used for automatic Electromyogram triggered electrical stimulator. The paper describes the method of analysis of myoelectric signal using MATLAB tool.
