Abstract :
The proposed antenna design is a linear microstrip array antenna, yielding high gain and directivity. The antenna operates at 5.2 GHz suitable for WLAN 802.11a application. The antenna is constructed using a single layer glass epoxy substrate having dielectric constant εr = 4.4 and loss tangent tan δ =0.02. The array of two by one (2×1) and four by one (4×1) microstrip rectangular antenna using corporate feed technique is designed and simulated using IE3D software.
