  • Abstract
A rectangular slot antenna has been modified and designed for Ultra Wideband (UWB) applications. This wide bandwidth can be of utmost importance for UWB applications. The proposed antenna has diagonal cuts which will provide greater bandwidth along with reduced size as compared to the rectangular slot antenna. The performance of both antennas are analyzed. A 50Ω co-planar waveguide (CPW) feed is used to supply power to these structures. The objective would be achieved by designing it, and later on shown it by comparing the performance of these two antennas using their simulation results. The structural analysis is executed using CST Microwave Studio. The final proposed antenna offers a high bandwidth of around 11GHZ with good return loss and efficiency. The detailed dimensional analysis of the proposed antenna are also presented in this paper.
