Abstract :
We have investigated a unique design of microstrip antenna with four elliptical slots of equal size. The geometry is made such that each elliptical slot is perpendicular to each other. The designed antenna has been simulated using HFSS software. It reports the VSWR value to be 1.0978 which is in the case of perfect matching. Moreover, the return loss observed is about -26.6247dB at an optimum frequency of 1.9425GHz. The gain calculated was 7.8355dB and the radiation pattern shows that all the energy is being radiated in one direction. Besides, smith chart has also been investigated.
