Abstract :
A multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) capsule shaped dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA)for middle WiMAX band (3.4-3.6 GHz) applications is investigated in this paper. Two feeding mechanisms named coplanar waveguide (CPW) and coaxial probe are used to excite two orthogonal modes of the proposed CDRA. The port 1 provides impedance bandwidth of 9.53% ranging (3.36-3.69 GHz) while port 2 provides 3.53% ranging (3.45-3.57 GHz). This MIMO CDRA gives isolation more than 10 dB while 5.08 dB and 5.01dB gain is obtained for port 1 and port 2 respectively. The total gain, isolation and the return loss parameters of the proposed MIMO DRA are observed.
