Abstract :
The 2015 7th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment (INTETAIN) was held on 10-12 June in Torino, Italy. The conference aimed at bringing together researchers from academic and industrial worlds, practitioners and students interested in recent advances in innovative and interactive technologies as well as in their application to entertainment, education, culture, and the arts. This edition of INTETAIN was particularly focused on the human-computer interaction for entertainment. Topics considered were: virtual characters, innovative interfaces, games, collaborative environments, interactive technologies, sensors and much more. These topics have been addressed by paper sessions, demos, posters and a workshop. In particular, a special paper session has been focused on sensors for entertainment, whereas the workshop dealt with providing Conference attendees with a glimpse of the video game development process. For the first time, INTETAIN was technically sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society. Submissions received (27 full papers, 19 short papers and 2 posters) were reviewed by 3 Reviewers. This selective process resulted in a high-quality set of accepted papers. Authors of best papers have been invited to submit extend versions of their manuscripts to Special Issues to appear on Sensors and Entertainment Computing. The venue of the 7th edition of INTETAIN was the main campus of Politecnico di Torino, very close to the center of the city.
