  • Abstract
    A 15 MHz 256-element linear array ultrasound probe is developed with CMUT technology by Kolo Medical Inc. The probe is designed using Kolo´s proprietary IP and fabricated with the state-of-the-art semiconductor technology. The performance of the high frequency linear array is further enhanced with advanced packaging and assembly technology. Finally, the probe is integrated with Verasonics Vantage 128 Research Ultrasound system. Both acoustic and imaging performances of the probe are excellent in comparison with PZT probe. With high sensitivity, wide bandwidth and good reliability, the CMUT-based probe is ready for commercialization and clinical applications.
