Abstract :
Waveguides with dielectric samples inside the window are named waveguide-dielectric structures [1]. Development of these structures is the problem of keen interest due to perspectives of applications in the microwave range [2], [3]. The problems of the electro-mechanical conversion of various microwave devices, the measurements of the dielectric properties of the materials are considered with the applications of researching structures. For solving the first problem the primary task is achieving a broad tunable frequency band, and as well as the approximation to a linear frequency dependence versus the control parameter of conversion is preferred. The classical method for measuring the dielectric properties of the materials in practice is the case when the sample completely fills the cross-section of the waveguide. This method has worked well in laboratory measurements. But it is virtually unusable for rapid measurements because of the design production the exact size of the sample, which is repeating the shape of the measuring cell, requires a fairly long time.
