Abstract :
This paper presents a LQR state feedback controller for speed controlled drive system of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). Nonlinear mathematical model of IPMSM is linearized by means of quadratic linearization method. Controller´s gains are tuned by optimizing weighting matrices through particle swarm optimization. The proposed method accomplishes both desirable control performances and robustness to the parameter variations. These outstanding features of the proposed method are mainly verified by simulation results.
