Abstract
Real-time acoustic data streaming such as voice and music is one of the interesting research areas. Several existing works already exploited to provide an acoustic streaming service over IP, LTE, Bluetooth and even Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Due to the different communication mechanism from IP, in case of Bluetooth and BLE, it is impossible to provide direct communication. To offer the advantage of IP communication over BLE device, 6lo WG over BLE is in progress. Based on 6lo BLE, we introduce our prototype of acoustic data streaming service over IP enabled BLE. We evaluate our service with various metrics such as packet loss, latency and throughput. The results show the various performance of BLE-IP device.
