Abstract :
This paper introduces a new dual-motor digital valve and applies it to the asymmetric cylinder position control system. Because it could suppress the commutation pressure impact to use the asymmetric valve to control the asymmetrical cylinder, two kinds of asymmetric spools were designed: stepped cylindrical spool and cone spool, in order to improve the control performance of the digital valve. Through theoretical calculations and model simulation, it was proved that both asymmetric digital valves can suppress the commutation pressure impact effectively and expand the load boundary without affecting the control accuracy of the system.
