  • Abstract
Due to its fast dynamic response and low power consumption, torque motor valve is widely used in the foreign bipropellant thrusters to realize the switch control of propellants. China´s bipropellant thruster uses two solenoid valves to control separately two propellants because of their simple structure and process. However, the dynamic response of the solenoid valve is far less than the torque motor valve, which has become the bottleneck that restricts the performance improvement of Chinese bipropellant thrusters. With the requirement to improve the accuracy of the China´s satellite propulsion system, research to torque motor valve is necessary. Dynamic characteristic of the torque motor valve is the coupling performance between its dynamics and electromagnetic, and it is a key factor affecting the performance of bipropellant thrusters. In this paper, the dynamic characteristic of the torque motor valve is analyzed based on the mathematical model whose key parameters are identified by three-dimensional finite element method.
