  • Abstract
    The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamic characteristics of the solenoid valve in an air brake system and as a result to decrease the response time. To realize the objective, this research presents the development and validation of a analytical dynamic model of a solenoid valve in a commercial vehicle, which is established within the multi-domain physical modeling. An experimental test rig is implemented and the experimental data of the transient pressure are measured to verify the model accuracy. The simulation and the experiment results are compared to achieve the suitable parameter configuration for the valve.
