Abstract
Context is the brain of ubiquitous computing. All the intelligence to the ubiquitous system comes from the knowledge of the context. The context is obtained after the processing and reasoning of different sensor data. These sensors are physically distributed in real world. With the advancement in sensing, processing and communication technologies, a distributed processing and reasoning has become a reality. In this paper we proposes a scalable and distributed context reasoning architecture that can be used in large scale environment. It also explains the use of the architecture to recognize higher level human activities in a home environment. The uncertainty in activity context is handled using Bayesian Network.
