  • Abstract
    To ensure the safe operation of dangerous experiment teaching, a three-dimensional (3D) virtual experiment system was developed based on OpenSceneGraph (OSG), which would provide a safe and simple virtual lab environment for students. The virtual scene was rendered and managed through 3D engine OSG. Firstly, the system´s architecture and scene organization were analyzed and designed. Secondly, a general experiment data format was designed and the operation processing method was realized, which could be used to customize applications for various experimental items easily. The application results show that this system had good performance on real-time and operability, and could make the students to master the security measures and experimental procedures efficiently.
