Abstract
This paper describes the study methodology for network planning based on reconfiguration transmission network to Facilitate operate the network in reliable, secure and efficient way. All operating areas within country grid are interconnected through transmission network which consider as a source feeding sub transmission network. The underlying sub transmission network, being electrically parallel to the overlying transmission loop; has caused operational difficulties [1], especially during certain outages. Reconfiguration the sub transmission network to avoid this parallel configuration between Extra High Volt (EHV) Transmission and HV sub-transmission networks by the method called bulk supply EHV/HV stations (BSPs) groups in this paper, each BSP feed one group of 5 or more HV/MV substations connected. BSPs groups planned to be connected through EHV Transmission network and disconnected in HV sub- transmission network in case of normal operation by normally open HV Transmission Lines (HVTL). This planning method will briefly described with its advantages in following sections.
