Abstract :
In the space Disruption-Tolerant Networks (DTNs), bundles are forwarded to next node only after their complete recovery, which leads to inefficiency exploiting of the next-hop precious contact. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an expedited mechanism of bundle delivery, which could achieve fast forwarding at the intermediate node by segments aggregation. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the bundle delivery time, without introducing significant extra overheads with the respects of the well-defined metric of wasted transmission effort (WTE).
