Abstract :
Nyquist rate sampling of ultra-wideband (UWB) signal is prohibitively costly and UWB receivers suffer from narrowband interference (NBI). In this paper, we present a compressed sensing (CS) based UWB receiver scheme with the capability of NBI mitigation. The key issue is to refine the measurement matrix according to the signal subspace and the NBI subspace such that the energy of the UWB signal can be captured efficiently and meanwhile the NBI can be mitigated effectively. To this end, the dominating atoms of the eigen-based dictionary are collected to approximate the signal subspace and a prior knowledge based method is proposed to estimate the NBI subspace. The generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) detector is adopted to recover data symbols. Simulations reveal that the NBI can be mitigated effectively and satisfactory bit error rate (BER) can be achieved by using the proposed scheme.
