  • Abstract
Polymers, especially insulating polymers, are utilized in almost all technological fields. At the present time it is probably extremly difficult to purchase a measuring instrument or even a household tool which does not incorporate any kind of plastic, insulating material. With this growing use the knowledge of the physical properties, in general, and the here discussed electrical properties, in particular, are becomming important commercial factors for product reliability. Polymers find applications in: cable insulation (1), high voltage capacitors (2), charge storage devices (3), acoustic transducers (4), to mention a few.
