Abstract
The measurements of permittivity, dielectric loss, conductivity, density, viscosity and refractive index for 1.1´-diacetyl ferrocene liquid crystal in its solution in benzene and carbon tetrachloride at various concentrations are done. The dipole moment and relaxation time at microwave frequency are computed. The values of dipole moment are closer to the values obtained by statical methods. The contributions of electronic polarizability, London dispersion attractive and exchange repulsive and dipole-dipole forces to the molar volume are determined. This study provides information about the macroscopic isotropic behaviour of 1,1´-diacetyl ferrocene and about the solute-sol vent interactions.
