Abstract
We present successful transmission of a 144Gbit/s DP-64QAM signal over a field-deployed, standard legacy-fiber link empowered by mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) for the first time. Despite the non-symmetric link conditions, MSSI enabled double the reach resulting in 693.2km long transmission.
