Abstract :
We demonstrated a 15-spatial-mode photonic lantern fabricated with the ultrafast laser inscription technique. The fabricated device showed <;6.5-7 dB insertion loss (IL) and <;8-dB mode dependent loss. It enables 30 modes (15 spatial and 2 polarizations) multiplexing across the C-band.
