Abstract :
We analyze the performance of digital coherent receivers with symbol-rate analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), aiming at short/medium-reach applications. Efficient dispersion compensation can be done even under the aliasing effect associated with ADC, when the clock is extracted by our proposed method.
