Abstract
Simulation of optical properties of fishnet structures consisted of two gold layers have been performed. It is shown that in near-infrared range (optical communication frequencies) such structures possess negative refraction index and optical magnetism. The distinctive feature that define geometry of considered structures is method of fabrication based on self-assembled nanoparticles. Such bottom-up fabrication approach is capable of manufacturing fishnet patterns on large cm-scale area that opens wide perspectives for creation of various nanophotonics devices.
