Abstract :
Cryptography is the process of transforming the confidential data from the readable one to an apparent nonsense at sender´s end and retrieving the original data back at receiver´s end. Cryptographic algorithms have been in practical use since decades for secure transmission of data in presence of third parties. In this paper I have designed a new symmetric key one by three block algorithm; this means data block is divided into three parts before encryption starts. In this algorithm I have worked on three burning parts of modern security. The first one is use of Time-factor in encryption. This feature ensures that the same plaintext encrypted using the same key produces different ciphertext at different system time. The second one is variable block size. This ensures that the block size is as per security level required. The third one is replacement of key by keyfile because in this era of increasing processing speed it is mandatory to use large keys and a file can serve this purpose better. Even media files for example images, songs and videos can be used as key files. This ensures that keyfile is more portable and can be hidden more wisely unlike old keys and hence the algorithm supports variable key sizes.
