Abstract :
Mobile Cloud Computing can extend the battery lifetime of a mobile client by offloading its computations to a virtual machine (VM). In this paper, we present an energy-optimal scheduling policy for collaborative execution in mobile cloud computing network. To reduce the computational energy consumption, we propose a collaborative execution model in which a threshold of data size is introduced for computational offload, named size-controlled collaborative execution (SCCE). Furthermore, we develop a adaptive energy-optimal scheduling policy for collaborative execution for a multi-task networking with dynamic deadline constraints, in which adaptive threshold is used according leverage degenerated Monte Carlo estimation. Numerical results approve that the proposed energy-optimal scheduling policy can significantly reduce the energy consumption of the mobile device with the deadline constraint.
