  • Abstract
    Along with the rapid development of communication technologies, forward error correction (FEC) codes have drawn a lot of research interests recently. Several modern codes such as super product code and staircase code are proposed for 100Gbps optical transport network. A kind of tail-biting code with some improvements on staircase code is proposed in this paper. This code not only possesses the high error-correcting-ability of the staircase code but also owns low decoding latency of conventional block code.
