Abstract
In this paper we propose a methodology for fast modeling of shielded slow-wave coupled lines in CMOS technology. The simulation problem is divided into four parts with the help of placing a well-defined return current path for the even-mode signal propagation. The modeling technique is verified with measurement results from 10 MHz to 110 GHz of a slow-wave coupled line test structure. Furthermore, circuit design examples are given to support this study.
