Abstract
This article looks at the information security of private computer users at home and on the move, and describes the situation in Finland as observed in six surveys conducted in 2012 -- 2015 at Tampere University of Technology where students have interviewed citizens. The results are in line with other studies of information security culture in society. This supports the validity of supplementary results concerning three kinds of initiatives that have been evolving in the interviews. The surveys will continue biannually and the future surveys will have a good ground to find a suitable way to combine and modify the initiatives towards methods that can assist citizens in growing a more secure culture.
