Abstract :
This paper presents a model taking the dispersion of slow-wave coplanar waveguides into account. This improved model is a refinement of a previous published physical model. The enhancement consists in modeling the transversal propagation along the strips forming the shielding layer through an inductance. The analysis is based on a physical approach, and an accurate and simple model is derived. Results carried out from the model calculus are in good agreement with the measurement results. Finally, the different cut-off frequencies in slow-wave coplanar waveguides are investigated.
