Abstract
On the basis of growing popularity of smartphone, LTE (Long Term Evolution) based mobile data traffic has been rapidly increased. Therefore, it is needed to offload the such mobile data traffics to the wireless AP (Access Point) connecting to the broadband wired communication lines. However, in the case of wireless AP in the public open spaces, the AP will be made available for users in which each user does not have any social connection each other. This also induces the malicious nodes using other node´ bandwidth, wrongfully. In this paper, we propose a new protocol for mitigating the bad effects of the malicious nodes in IEEE802.11 based wireless AP on public spaces while keeping compatibilities with the common IEEE802.11 wireless LAN. The results of computer simulations confirm that our proposed protocol can invalidate the effects of malicious node while keeping throughput performance compared with the common IEEE802.11 wireless LANs.
